Your Finance Provider: Billing, Contacts, and Home Sale/Refinance Guide

Your solar system was financed through one of several providers Venture Home works with. This article explains how to identify your provider, who to contact for billing and account questions, and what steps to take if you're refinancing your home or planning to sell.

How to Identify Your Finance Provider

Your finance provider is listed in the agreement you signed when you went solar. If you're unsure, check any billing statements or emails you received after installation. You can also contact our Customer Success team and we'll help point you in the right direction.


Solar Loans

If you financed your system with a loan, you own the solar equipment. Your monthly payment goes to your lender. Service, warranties, and system support are handled separately through Venture Home.

Sungage Financial

Selling your home: Sungage loans cannot be transferred to a new buyer. The loan must be paid off at closing.

Refinancing: Sungage offers options for handling your loan during a refinance — contact them directly to discuss.


Mosaic / Solar Servicing LLC

Note: Mosaic filed for bankruptcy in 2025. Loan servicing has transitioned to Solar Servicing LLC, a subsidiary of Forbright Bank. Your payment terms are unchanged.

Selling your home: Solar Servicing LLC does not currently offer loan transfers. The loan must be paid off at closing.

Selling your home: Contact Service Finance directly. Specific documentation is required, and a $150 processing fee applies if they prepare a sub-agreement. The loan must be current at the time of transfer.


Dividend Finance

Selling your home: The loan may be assumed by the buyer if they pass a credit check. Log into the Empower Portal and select "Transfer your solar loan" to get started. Note: the full Incentive Investment (tax credit portion) must be paid before the loan can transfer.

For a payoff quote, call (844) 805-7100, Press 1, then 3.

Refinancing: Contact Dividend directly — your lender may need documentation related to the equipment lien.

Leases and Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs)

If you signed a lease or PPA, the finance company owns the solar equipment on your roof. You pay a monthly fee — either for the system itself (lease) or for the energy it produces (PPA). Because the equipment belongs to a third party, there are specific rules around selling, refinancing, and service.

One important benefit of TPO agreements: because the company owns the system, monitoring, maintenance, and repairs are included at no additional cost to you for the life of the agreement. You never pay out of pocket if something breaks.


SunPower / SunStrong Management

Note: SunPower filed for bankruptcy in 2024. Lease and PPA accounts are now managed by SunStrong Management.

Service coverage:

  • 24/7 system monitoring included
  • SunStrong coordinates all maintenance and repairs
  • Equipment warranties honored by original manufacturers (Enphase microinverters, Maxeon panels)
  • Production guarantee terms per your original agreement

Selling your home: Contact SunStrong to initiate a home transfer as soon as you have a potential buyer. The buyer must pass a credit check and sign a transfer agreement. You may also have the option to buy out the system — contact SunStrong for a buyout quote.

Refinancing: Use the SunStrong support portal, which includes a dedicated refinancing request form.


Sunnova / SunStrong Management

Note: Sunnova filed for bankruptcy in 2025. Accounts have transitioned to SunStrong Management.

  • SunStrong manages maintenance, repairs, and billing for all Sunnova accounts
  • Enphase equipment remains covered under manufacturer warranties

Selling your home: Contact SunStrong to initiate a transfer. Buyers must have a FICO score of at least 650. A processing fee is required before transfer documents are sent. You may also have the option to buy out the system — contact SunStrong for a buyout quote.

Refinancing: Use the SunStrong support portal to submit a refinancing request.


Posigen / SunStrong Management

Posigen lease/PPA accounts are also managed by SunStrong Management.

  • All maintenance and repairs included at no cost
  • 25-year extended hardware warranties
  • 90% production guarantee for the full 25-year term — if your system falls short, Palmetto compensates you for the difference

Selling your home: The LightReach plan can be transferred to the new buyer, subject to credit approval and a signed transfer agreement. You may also have the option to buy out the system — contact Palmetto for terms. Start this process early, as transfer paperwork takes time.

Refinancing: Contact Palmetto/LightReach directly — your mortgage lender may need a consent or subordination letter from them.


IGS Energy

Service coverage:

  • System monitoring included
  • Maintenance included for the life of the agreement
  • Dedicated single point of contact throughout the agreement
  • Production guarantee and specific coverage terms per your agreement — refer to your contract for details

Selling your home: Contact IGS directly to initiate a transfer or discuss a buyout. IGS uses a Solar360 platform for account and billing management.

Refinancing: Contact IGS directly — your lender may need documentation related to the solar agreement.


Enfin (by Qcells)

  • Production guarantee with per-kWh compensation paid to you for any underproduction — specific guarantee amounts are in your agreement

Selling your home: You have three options:

  1. Transfer the agreement to the new buyer
  2. Buy out the system (available after 5 years in service)
  3. Prepay the remaining monthly payments in full

Contact Enfin at least 30 days before closing to begin the process.

Refinancing: Contact Enfin directly — your lender will likely need a letter related to the UCC-1 filing on the equipment.
